Insect-IMP was represented at the XIII European Congress of Entomology (ECE 2026), held June 29 to July 3, 2026, in Tours, France, bringing the Action’s activities and objectives to the wider European entomological community.
With support from the Insect-IMP COST Action (CA22140) through a Conference Grant, Pablo Librado delivered an oral presentation in the session dedicated to EU-funded COST networks:
- CA22140 – Insect-IMP: Improved Knowledge Transfer for Sustainable Insect Breeding – Pablo Librado
The session brought together researchers, museum curators and representatives of other COST Actions, providing an opportunity to exchange experiences and explore potential collaborations.
Discussions following the presentation highlighted interest in the Action and opportunities to expand knowledge exchange across different areas of insect research. In particular, participants explored the potential of insect farming for biological pest control as an additional application beyond food and feed production.
Participation in ECE 2026 helped raise awareness of Insect-IMP and strengthen connections with the international entomological community.
